The National Democratic Alliance Army (NDAA) and the regime held talks in Nay Pyi Taw on regional development, healthcare and border issues, according to a statement issued by the regime.
The discussions focused on addressing political aspirations and maintaining border stability.
Leadership changes within the Mongla organization were also discussed.
The organization said it would continue pursuing policies of peace, unity and development alongside former leader U Sai Lin while working to build mutual trust.
The two sides also discussed repairs to the Kengtung–Mongla Highway and the restoration of normal crossing access over the Mong Yu–Keng Yang Bridge.
The NDAA delegation was led by Chairman U Htein Lin and included Vice Chairmen U San Pe and U San Lu and General Secretary U Kyi Myint. The regime delegation was led by Lt-Gen Yar Pyae and Secretary Lt-Gen Min Naing.
The regime and the Mongla group previously held talks in Mongla town on June 17.
The regime also held talks with the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) on July 19 and the United Wa State Army (UWSA) on August 3.
Members of the Federal Political Negotiation and Consultative Committee (FPNCC), including the UWSA, NDAA, TNLA and Shan State Progress Party (SSPP), have held talks with the regime.
However, fellow FPNCC members, the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) and the Arakan Army (AA), continue to engage in armed clashes with the military.
