Shwe Phee Myay, Apr 13

The Ta’ang National Liberation Army (PSLF/TNLA) sent a congratulatory message today for the 17th anniversary of the United League of Arakan/Arakan Army (ULA/AA), stating that the AA serves as an inspiring example for all ethnic nationalities, having captured nearly every township in Rakhine State.

The accomplishments of the AA are the result of the immense efforts and sacrifices of both the AA and the Arakanese people, serving as an inspiring testament for all ethnic nationalities in Myanmar, the statement noted.

In its message, the TNLA emphasized that as members of the Brotherhood Alliance, they have fought revolutionary battles alongside one another. The group pledged to maintain their close bond and continue striving together until their collective revolutionary goals are achieved.

To mark the 17th anniversary of the AA’s founding today, April 10, congratulatory messages were sent by fellow Brotherhood Alliance members—the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) and TNLA—as well as other revolutionary forces, including the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) and the Bamar People’s Liberation Army (BPLA).

Currently, the Arakan Army has seized control of 14 townships in Rakhine State. Meanwhile, clashes with the Military Council continue in areas bordering Magway and Ayeyarwady, as well as in the townships of Sittwe and Kyaukphyu.
