Mai A Shai, Jul 20, Nawnghkio

Clashes between the junta’s military and the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) are still ongoing in Nawnghkio Township, according to frontline sources.

“Clashes are still continuing, especially the fighting is happening in and around Samma (village),” said a frontline source.

Although the junta’s military claimed it seized Nawnghkio Township, the TNLA released a statement on the same day, asserting that clashes would continue to intensify in the area.

Up to Saturday, fighting between the TNLA and the junta’s military intensified around Samma Village on the Nawnghkio – Mogok Road.
