At around 5 p.m. today, the junta’s military launched an airstrike into Kyaukme, dropping two bombs into a crowded area, said a resident.

“Two bombs were dropped near the mosque and near Sanypa fried rice shop both places were still crowded at that time,” she said.

Shwe Phee Myay is still contacting residents to gather more details about the damages and casualties caused by the junta’s airstrike in Kyaukme today.

On May 5, the junta’s military also dropped two bombs into Kyaukme Town with a fighter jet.

Kyaukme is a sanctuary for over a thousand residents who have fled Nawnghkio Township, where the junta’s military and the TNLA are currently engaged in intense clashes.

This morning, the junta’s military continued to drop bombs around Lon Wal village in Nawnghkio Township, reportedly due to severe ground losses.
