Shwe Phee Myay, Dec 3
Yar Mar Kham Pan, also known as Yar Khin Sein, the mother of General Tar Aik Bong, Chairman of the Palaung State Liberation Front/Ta’ang National Liberation Army (PSLF/TNLA), passed away on November 30.
Born in Man Sap Village, Namhsan Township, northern Shan State in 1944, she was 82 years old at the time of her death.
Yar Mar Kham Pan married Tar Tun Hlaing in 1961 at the age of 18. The couple raised 10 children, including General Tar Aik Bong, who went on to become the chairman of the PSLF/TNLA and a leader of the Ta’ang people’s revolution.
Recognizing her role in nurturing such an ethnic leader, two Brotherhood Alliance member groups—the Arakan Army (ULA/AA) and the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA)—sent messages of condolence and prayers on Tuesday.
