The Ta’ang Land Education Council (TLEC) awarded Diplomas in Education to 117 students from the inaugural cohort of the Ta’ang Education Academy (TEA), which was founded and led by the TLEC.
The graduation ceremony, held on November 20 in the Ta’ang region, celebrated the achievements of 117 graduates—26 men and 91 women—who received their diplomas.
These Diplomas in Education were conferred after the students had completed one year of service as teachers in the basic education schools established by the TLEC.
Approximately 1,000 local residents attended the graduation ceremony, including prominent figures such as the Chairman of TLEC, the Vice-Chairman of the Ta’ang Land Council (TLC); and General Secretary, Chief of Staff, and General Secretary of the PSLF/TNLA: as well as representatives from Ta’ang civil society organizations.
A school official noted that during the training period, the University of Teaching (UoT), Spring Normal University (SNU), and the Ministry of Education (MoE) under the National Unity Government (NUG) provided support with curriculum development.
