Myanmar junta’s military has regained control of the Gote Hteik bridge and the Gote Twin road section, which connect Nawnghkio and Kyaukme townships in northern Shan State, according to its statement on Friday evening and its forces were also observed quickly repairing the Gote Twin bridge to open a supply route.

With the junta’s military having regained control of the Gote Twin road section, the supply route for the its troops on the Nawnghkio-Kyaukme road could become easier.

Junta troops also released a photo of the creek they crossed at the lower part of Htan Tabin village, which is controlled by the Shan State Progress Party (SSPP).

In Nawng Pein and Pin Tain villages, fighting continues to be fierce between the junta forces and the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), and the ethnic armed group is still putting up strong resistance against the junta’s massive offensive.

In recent days, reports have emerged that representatives from the junta’s military and the TNLA met in Kunming, China, but the talks yielded no results.

As a result, fighting in northern Shan State may become more intense, and revolutionary forces are warning the public to be on military alert.
