At least 12 houses, three monasteries, and one school were destroyed during the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) offensive against the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) in Kutkai Township, northern Shan State, according to local sources.

A local man reported that the fighting, which began on the morning of March 14, led to the destruction of the monastery, the school, and nine houses in Lwe Saing village.

“At the meeting, the MNDAA said they would repair the damage. They didn’t promise to restore everything as new, only to fix it. We have already shown them all the destruction, but they said they still need to report back to their superiors,” he said.

According to records compiled by Shwe Phee Myay, three houses in Ho Kyant village, along with the Man Htan and Shwe Kabar Aye monasteries, were damaged in the attacks.

Local residents reported that although the MNDAA inspected the site and collected data on the destruction, they have yet to provide any tangible support or compensation.

Meanwhile, in Kutkai, at least eight civilians—including one child—were killed by MNDAA drone strikes and gunfire. Another seven residents, including four children, sustained injuries during the clashes.
