The United Wa State Army (UWSA) liaison office in Lashio and the Shan State Progress Party (SSPP) have donated 10 million kyats each to help affected local residents from Kaung Tat Village, Namhkam Township in northern Shan State rebuild and rehabilitate.

On June 4, they came to donate 10 million kyats each for the rehabilitation efforts. In addition to this, the SSPP forces also donated an extra 20 sacks of rice.

For the Kaung Tat explosion incident, the Namhkam Youth Group, the Kho Lone Lishaw Ethnic Cultural Group, and various other regions have also come to make donations.

As of that day, the Kaung Tat Village Rehabilitation Committee has received over 100 million kyats in cash donations (specifically 166,440,700 kyats), as well as around 8,000 Chinese Yuan.

Furthermore, it is observed that various townships including Namtu, Namhsan, Manton, Namhkam, Kutkai, Muse, and Lashio are also independently collecting donations to aid in the rehabilitation of Kaung Tat village.

It is learned that in addition to basic foodstuffs such as rice, oil, salt, and other utensils, medical supplies for emergency use are also still in need of assistance.

According to the records obtained by Shwe Phee Myay, the ammunition depot explosion that occurred on May 31st resulted in 60 fatalities and more than 100 people injured.

Furthermore, over 300 houses in Kaung Tat village were damaged or destroyed, among which more than 40 homes were completely burned to ashes.
