Poe Labar, Jan 24, Mogok

Two local residents were killed when a drone bomb exploded near the Sittan Gone junction in eastern Mogok Township, Mandalay Region—an area recently retaken by the junta’s military—according to the residents.

The explosions occurred just after 9:00 a.m. on January 22 and after 4:00 p.m. on January 23, near the Sittan Gone junction in eastern Mogok and close to a junta military base stationed in the town.

“Two civilians were killed. One was decapitated, and the other had their back blown open. Another loud explosion was heard last night after 11:00 p.m., but we don’t know yet if there were any casualties,” said a local man.

He further stated that another drone bomb attack occurred near the Chan Thar Gyi Pagoda in eastern Mogok at around 11:00 p.m. on January 23.

Previously, on December 24, 2025, revolutionary forces also launched drone attacks against junta troops stationed at monasteries on the outskirts of Mogok.

Following Chinese intervention, the junta moved its forces into Mogok and Momeik, the towns held by the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), on November 29 and 30.
