Myanmar junta launched an airstrike on Walbawng Village in Momeik, a township controlled by the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) in northern Shan State, at around 7 p.m. on Thursday, killing 7 civilians, including 2 children, according to the statement of the TNLA.

A junta aircraft dropped three 250lb bombs into the center of the village and instantly killed four men and three women, injuring eight others and destroying at least ten houses, said the statement of the armed group.

Also on October 7, a junta airstrike in Man Hone Village, Monglon Town, left 10 residents dead and three others wounded.

As junta forces continue their bombing campaign against TNLA-controlled towns and villages, the civilian death toll has reached nearly 30 within a single week.

The townships targeted by junta airstrikes include Kyaukme, Hsipaw, Mongngawt, Monglon, Namhsan, and Namtu. The TNLA has issued a public warning urging residents to remain extremely vigilant against the threat of aerial attacks.
