Clashes between the junta’s military and the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) continue along the Nawnghkio-Mogok Road, according to the frontline sources.

The junta’s military has already seized control of Thone Sal and Shwe Kya Inn villages on the Nawnghkio-Mogok Road. It is now advancing into Taw Mon and Lwal Ngin villages, where it is encountering TNLA forces.

“It is correct that clashes are occurring along the road between Nawnghkio and Mogok. Starting from yesterday, clashes have intensified near Lwal Ngin village,” a frontline source told Shwe Phee Myay.

After taking control of Nawnghkio, the junta’s military has continued its offensive towards villages along the Nawnghkio-Mogok road. Meanwhile, the TNLA continues to lose some of the villages it controlled along that route.

Reports on pro-junta Telegram channels claim the junta’s military took control of a TNLA outpost near Taw Mon village on August 2.

However, the TNLA has not yet issued any statement regarding the clashes occurring on the Nawnghkio–Mogok Road.

After controlling Nawnghkio Township for over a year, the TNLA and allied forces were forced to cede it back to the junta on July 16.
