The Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) is providing aid to displaced people who fled villages in Kyaukme and Hsipaw as they were forced to flee due to the junta military’s airstrikes on their townships, even though there were no ground clashes, according to the residents.

Over 500 displaced people from villages in Kyaukme and Hsipaw have arrived in Nawngmon and Kyaik Yan Villages in Lashio. The MNDAA has provided them with necessities.

The MNDAA provided 50 sacks of rice, over 300 liters of palm oil, 200 sacks of salt, vegetables, and other necessities for all the displaced people.

“Over 500 displaced people have already arrived. The MNDAA also arranged accommodation, providing entire houses for larger families and combined spaces for others. They’ve even prepared for more arrivals,” a resident reported.

Residents of Lashio, the capital of northern Shan State, are also providing healthcare and accommodation to those displaced from Kyaukme and Hsipaw Townships.

Online announcements from Lashio residents are circulating, detailing locations where displaced individuals can find free accommodation and healthcare services.
