Around midnight on Saturday, the junta’s military launched another airstrike into Kyaukme, a township controlled by the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), according to the residents.

“It dropped two bombs, almost exactly at 12 p.m. The explosion was very loud, but we don’t know yet where it hit,” said a resident.

Shwe Phee Myay is continuing to gather more detailed information about the Saturday night airstrike in Kyaukme and will provide updates.

The junta’s military has continuously launched airstrikes into Nawnghkio, Kyaukme, and Hsipaw townships, all under the control of the TNLA.

In the last week of June alone, the junta’s military launched at least five airstrikes into Kyaukme Township, killing at least five civilians and injuring 22.

Also around 10 p.m. Friday, the junta’s military launched an airstrike into Hsipaw, dropping two 250lb bombs from a fighter jet. The attack destroyed the surgery ward of the township’s public hospital and the agricultural department office, and damaged eight civilian houses in the surrounding area.
