ဆရာဝန်တစ်ဦးရဲ့ အကြိမ်ကြိမ် အဓမ္မ ပြုကျင့်တာ ခံရပြီး ပြန်လည် လွတ်မြောက်လာတဲ့ အသက် ၁၅ နှစ်ဝန်းကျင်သာ ရှိသေးတဲ့ လွေးအမ်အတွက် ဒီအဖြစ်အပျက်ဟာ သူမဘဝအတွက် အမည်းစက်တစ်ခုလို ဖြစ်လာခဲ့ပါတယ်။

“I didn’t dare to tell anyone about the rape. The doctor threatened me, saying, ‘If you tell anyone, you will be the one who is shamed.’ That’s why I kept silent.”
For Lway Am, who is only around 15 years old and was repeatedly raped by a doctor before finally escaping, the incident has become like a stain on her life.
Born to a poor family in a village at the foot of the Loi Sam Sip Mountain range near Kutkai Town in northern Shan State, Lway Am only had the opportunity to attend school up to the 4th Grade. Amidst these difficulties, she began working in November 2024 as a cook and helper at a clinic in Ward 8 of Kutkai Town to support her family.
At the time, Lway Am was just 14 years old. Her name has been changed in this report to protect her identity.
While working as a cook and helper to support her struggling family, Lway Am became a victim of repeated sexual assault by the doctor who owned the clinic.
She said that although her main duties were at the residence, the doctor would call her to work evening shifts at the clinic, where the assaults took place.
