Myanmar’s junta launched an airstrike on Hsipaw, a TNLA-controlled township in northern Shan State, injuring three civilians, according to residents.
On Monday at 9:30 a.m., the junta’s military dropped two 500lb bombs on the Western and Southern Wards in Hsipaw, injuring people and destroying nine houses.
A resident stated, “Three were injured: one in the thigh, another in the leg, and a third in the arm. The bomb was first dropped in the western ward, then the southern.”
Since July 7, the junta’s military has launched at least eight airstrikes on Hsipaw.
On August 17 at 9 a.m., the junta’s military also launched an airstrike on the eastern part of Mogok, a township controlled by the TNLA. The attack killed at least three people, including a child.
This followed another airstrike on August 14 on Nga Pat Mountain, located between the villages of Ywar Thit and Shwe Ku in Mogok Township, which killed 21 civilians and injured 10 others.
