The junta’s military has now launched four airstrikes on Hsipaw, a township controlled by the Palaung State Liberation Front/Ta’ang National Liberation Army (PSLF/TNLA), by conducting another air attack on the northern Shan State town, according to the residents.

At around 11 p.m. on Sunday, the junta’s military launched an airstrike, dropping a 250lb bomb from a fighter jet into its former Infantry Battalion 23 headquarters base in Hsipaw.

“The bomb was dropped into IB-23. There were no injuries, nor was there any damage to any building,” said a resident.

Also on July 19, the junta’s military launched an airstrike on Hsipaw, dropping three 250lb bombs on Basic Education Primary School No. 1, the staff housing area of the Prison Department, and into a ward in the town.

On July 14, the junta’s military launched an airstrike near a mobile phone shop on the Lashio – Mandalay Road, dropping two bombs from a fighter jet. The attack killed two residents and injured two others.

On July 4, the junta’s military dropped two 250lb bombs on Hsipaw, destroying five buildings and eight houses.

According to figures gathered by Shwe Phee Myay, the junta’s military has launched airstrikes into the TNLA-controlled Nawnghkio, Kyaukme, Mogok, and Hsipaw, killing at least 17 and injuring approximately 50 civilians within the past two weeks.
