The junta’s military launched an airstrike on Mogok, a township in the Mandalay Region controlled by the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), killing three people, including a child, according to the residents.
At around 9 a.m. on August 17, the junta’s military dropped three bombs on the eastern part of Mogok.
“At around 8:57 a.m., a junta aircraft dropped a bomb. Just five minutes later, it dropped another one. Then another bomb was dropped in front of a bank. I saw the bombs hit a passerby and a child. Another person is still missing,” said a resident who witnessed the incident.

On August 14, the junta’s military launched an airstrike on Ngapat Mountain, located between Ywar Thit and She Ku villages in eastern Mogok Township. The attack killed at least 21 civilians and injured 10 others.
According to figures from Shwe Phee Myay, junta airstrikes on TNLA-controlled townships and Nawnghkio have killed at least 42 civilians and injured 18 others in the past two weeks.
